Starting with the title of the world’s best hotels, my journey takes me to Rajasthan, India, to the stunning Oberoi Udaivilas. In my opinion, and that of many others, this is the best hotel in the world. India is renowned for its impressive hotels, with the global rankings showing two more Indian hotels—Oberoi Amarvilas and Oberoi Rajvilas, both from the same chain in Rajasthan—occupying the tenth and eleventh spots.
In second place is South Africa’s hotel, Singita Sabi Sand/Kruger National Park. In third, we have The Oriental hotel in Bangkok. Among the Italian contenders, the Cortona Relais hotel stands out, securing the sixth position.
I came across an article online discussing how these small luxury hotels have grown so rapidly. Paul Kerr, the Managing Director of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, explained that they are very pleased with the increasing recognition and importance of their brand. The fact that an SLH hotel has been chosen as the best in the world, along with many others from their network ranking high regionally, highlights the commendable standard of service, quality, and experience provided by the Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
