Today, let’s head to Brittany, just south of Brest in Britain, where we find Kastell Dinn of Crozon. Here, Pierre and Patricia Carn Menesguen have created a charming way to spend the night in unique, original houses scattered throughout their garden.
One option is the Quille en air. This is a former tool shed with stone walls, topped with an upturned boat for a roof (hence ‘keel in the air’). It features a double bed, a private bathroom, and an outdoor lounge area. Another choice is the Caloge, an old crop storage building with wooden walls and a thatched roof—perfect for those who love the sea.
If staying on a boat isn’t your thing, you can opt for the Caravans. These are gypsy wagons equipped with a double bed and bathroom. Alternatively, there are three bedrooms in the main house, including a family suite with a ground-floor room and another in the attic.
Prices are as follows: 55 € for a double room in the house, 90 € for the Caloge, and 65 € for either the Quille en air or the Caravan.
